Everett & Everett Co. was founded in St. Augustine, Florida, "America’s oldest city", by a young local shaped by its history, architecture, and enduring sense of place. A Letter from the Founder
Jackson Byrd, Founder
I was born and raised in St. Augustine, Florida, “America's Oldest City”. Growing up there meant being surrounded by history every day: centuries-old buildings, weathered materials, structures that had endured simply because they were constructed well. St. Augustine is a place where the architecture tells stories, and where time has a way of revealing what was truly worth preserving.
From an early age, that environment shaped how I saw the world. I developed a deep appreciation for architecture and interior design, particularly the quiet sophistication of historic spaces: arched doorways, worn stone, hand-forged details, and rooms designed by master craftsmen with beautiful materials. Living among that history taught me that quality and refinement, when done right, don’t need to announce themselves. They’re felt. It’s very much an “if you know, you know”sensibility.
Everett & Everett Co. was founded as a reflection of those values. The goal was never to chase trends or create unnecessary excess, but to curate a collection of well-made goods for people who appreciate craftsmanship, restraint, and timeless design.
